communicate their expertise clearly and credibly
Helping professional services and B2B leaders like you to
Guessing your way through marketing?
Many B2B founders and professional services leaders find marketing and communications overwhelming.
You know it drives growth, visibility and credibility, but between billing and leading your team, it slips down the list.
When you do focus on it, it can feel vague and time-consuming. But you don’t want generic content or an expensive agency that doesn’t understand your business.
You need someone who understands your world and can help you communicate it.
It’s time to bring clarity to your message
and focus on what you do best.
Welcome to said & done
Good marketing starts with knowing what you actually want to say.
Most B2B and professional services businesses don't have a marketing problem. They have a clarity problem. The expertise is there, but it just doesn't always come through clearly on the outside.
Here's what I believe:
Strategy before tactics. Before we talk about LinkedIn posts or email newsletters, we get clear on what you should be known for. Everything else follows from that.
Consistency beats noise. Showing up thoughtfully and regularly will always outperform a burst of activity followed by six months of silence.
Marketing shouldn't feel like a drag. With the right structure in place, it supports your growth rather than quietly competing with your actual billable work.
My role is to bring clarity, direction and a bit of calm to the process, whether I'm working directly with leadership or alongside your existing team.
I provide strategic oversight, hands-on delivery, or a combination of both.
said & done is ideal for…
This is how we do it
-
Before anything else, we get clear on what you should be known for and why clients should choose you over anyone else. This is the foundation: your messaging framework, your value proposition, your brand narrative. And once it's in place, every other piece of communication becomes easier and more consistent.
This includes: messaging frameworks, value proposition development, brand narrative, website copy, brand voice guides, and basic brand identity.
-
A clear plan makes the difference between marketing that moves your business forward and marketing that just keeps you busy. We translate your goals into a focused communications strategy: setting the right priorities, building the right structure, and making sure your efforts are pointing in the right direction.
This includes: communications strategy, content strategy and planning, editorial calendars, go-to-market planning, and campaign briefs.
-
Credibility builds over time, and it builds through showing up consistently in the right places with something worth saying. We develop and manage your presence across the channels that matter most for your audience: from your LinkedIn profile to your newsletter to the publications your clients actually read.
This includes: LinkedIn strategy and content, email marketing, webinars, social media management.
-
Some moments call for more than steady-state marketing: a product launch, a new service, a push into a new market. I’ll bring both the strategic thinking and the hands-on execution to make sure the right people hear about it, understand it, and feel compelled to act.
This includes: campaign planning and copywriting, launch communications, press releases and media pitching, email sequences, social media content, and graphic design and visual assets.
-
Your profile doesn't build itself, and the moments where communication really matters - a high-stakes pitch, a media opportunity, a shift in direction - deserve more than a last-minute response. I take a proactive approach to building your credibility and making sure your communications hold up when it counts.
This includes: thought leadership programmes, award submissions, speaking opportunity development, internal communications, presentation design, and stakeholder and media relations.
Ashleigh Faber
Founder + consultant
I’m a marketing and communications consultant with more than 13 years’ experience working inside complex organisations.
Before founding Said & Done, I led the communications team at Africa’s largest law firm, overseeing thought leadership, media strategy and brand positioning across multiple countries. I supported senior leadership, navigated high-stakes communication, and worked across strategy, PR, content and visual execution. In other words, I’ve seen what happens when messaging is handled well (and when it isn’t). That experience is what I bring to every client engagement.
Now I work directly with B2B founders and professional services teams who want experienced, senior support, without the overhead of an agency or the commitment of a full-time hire.
I value calm, clear and considered thinking (which probably also explains why I’m a cat person).
Getting to know you
I’m based in Cape Town, South Africa, but work with clients anywhere in the world.
